Greetings New Sullivan Families: It is with great pleasure that I write to welcome you and your student(s) to 2010-2011 school year at New Sullivan Specialty School. The staff and I are very excited that you have entrusted your child’s education to us. We will make every effort to help your child achieve academically and socially this year. It is our goal to create an enriching and rigorous environment that engages all students in the learning process. But, as your child’s first teacher, we need your support and cooperation. New Sullivan has an awesome teaching and support staff that is committed to planning and designing learning opportunities that will help our students become lifelong learners. As a school community, our mission and vision for the school year will be driven by two priority goals for the new school year. These goals will help guide our work as we seek to build a dynamic school community and foster an engaging learning environment for all students.
I encourage you to become active in our LSC, BAC and PAC Councils. I also encourage you to support our annual fundraising activities. These funds provide additional funds to support the school wide incentive programs that we have at New Sullivan.
Finally, if your child needs additional support or if you have a concern, please do not hesitate to contact their teacher. It is our mission to support your child in whatever way we can as a school community. New Sullivan School is fortunate to have resources to support students and their families. A strong home/school partnership is key to creating students who will become the TRAILBLAZERS of tomorrow!
